Playsam for Fitzsu Grandprix
Inspired by Richard Buckminster Fullers work on the Dymaxion car (1933), a beautiful and truly revolutionary vehicle of its time. This is our contribution to the Fitzsu Grandprix Project benefiting the World Childhood Foundation. The concept is a shell which goes on the Playsam car without totally covering it or manipulating the original, in a way exposing the soul inside. A play between a shiny beautiful icon inside and the new grid-like aerodynamic structure outside. We have used a highly advanced production technique called stereo lithography, which is based on a build up of very thin layers of resin which are cured together using lasers.
